Hello! My name is A.L. Davidson and I'm known on the internet as MaybeMockingbird! I am a queer and disabled indie author specializing tiny disturbances, heartwarming and haunting horror-romance, and cozy sci-fi! I love writing stories that focus on themes involving ghosts, grief, isolation, queerness, eco-horror, space exploration, disability rep, and the human condition. I am also the Webcomics and Manga Editor for Comic Book Yeti. I work as a funeral ambassador, I'm an Animal Crossing addict, plant parent, and cat mom.
I'm a 2023 Indie Ink, Queer Indie, BBNYA, and Pushcart Prize nominated writer, and an thirteen time 2024 Indie Ink nominee. I am best known for my debut novella When The Rain Begins To Burn, my short story series R-PNZL: A Futuristic Fairytale, and my slightly popular cozy horror romance web novel The Night Farm which is available to read on Patreon and Tapas. I have several horror romance novellas available, as well as an award nominated novel published by Timber Ghost Press, and several ongoing cozy web novels that all feature queer and disabled characters. I'm most active on Patreon, where I upload cozy queer web novels on a regular basis!
